Walking Into Wellness Education Camps are founded and run by Nicole Rothschild. She has a degree in biology with over 10 years experience working with children. Nicole developed this program after noticing the gap in nature education programs in Bay Area school systems. She works in the community as a teacher at Marin Horizon. She is an avid adventurer and nature advocate who specializes in life sciences and working with all types of learning styles. Nicole believes that a connection with nature is integral to the healthy development of children.

Walking Into Wellness Education Camps was named so because Nicole hopes to foster a deep connection to nature, wellness and education. She herself found a deep connection to nature while hiking, backpacking, camping and traveling. She believes that with a deep connection to the land, learning, and one’s self, children will develop into wonderfully well rounded critical thinkers, compassionate members of society, and empathetic problem solvers.
