Nature Science

Hiking, Nature Exploration, Life Science, Foraging and Plant Identification are just some of the components of this nature based program. We will be following a second grade science curriculum. Children will participate in weekly projects that reinforce the topics of study.

STEM

Explorers will create projects connecting nature and science. Our projects will focus on science, technology, engineering and math in order to enrich, challenge and develop young minds.

Social Emotional

We will connect with nature and our bodies. Each session will culminate in a service project for the community.

Walking Into Wellness Education Camps

“If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the earth before we ask them to save it. Perhaps this is what Thoreau had in mind when he said, ‘The more slowly trees grow at first, the sounder they are at the core, and I think the same is true of human beings.’”

David Sobel, Beyond Ecophobia

At Walking Into Wellness Education Camps, kids are free to be kids, to grow, explore, learn and develop their own sense of self. The relationship children form with nature will provide the groundwork for their furthering development and education. Our learning is hands on, tactile and memorable.
